As announced earlier today, Foals return with their second album, Total Life Forever, on May 10 and you can hear a track from it, Spanish Sahara, below.

At first the song puts you in mind of the ambient falsetto-rock of Sigur Ros - but it swiftly builds into something more urgent and propulsive, with Yannis Philipakkis repeating the lyric, "I’m the fury in your head, I’m the fury in your bed, I’m the ghost in the back of your head" over insistent, morse-code guitar. -Via: NME

Introducing Kid Infinity, one of the hottest acts blowing out circuit breakers in the bowels of LA's downtown music scene with their unique brand of electro-punk.

Kid Infinity formed in early 2008 when two men collided like lightning bolts battling in outer space, forming a fireball of fresh grooves and dirty beats that blasted their way to earth. It’s explosive music taking influence from Electro, French-Touch, Hip-Hop, Rock, and Underground Dance styles.

Their current self-produced EP “Kid Infinity’s Got a Big Head” is being passed out from car trunks and basement parties to back yards and club parking lots all over Los Angeles, bumping large bass the whole way.

Gil Scott-Heron is an elusive character. A pioneer of Rap music he set the blueprint for the genre in 1971 with "The Revolution Will Not Be Televised." He's a storyteller and poet with a piercing viewpoint on culture. His latest release, I'm New Here, (his first in 13 years) turns inward as he reflects on his life and this moment. For this tune Gil Scott-Heron covers the indie band Smog, with "I'm New Here." - Via: KCRW
